How does Netrix mitigation work?
Three complementary mitigation mechanisms activate automatically based on identified attack vectors and their volume.
Behavioral Mitigation
For complex attacks (SYN flood, non-amplified UDP attacks), traffic is redirected to a specialized infrastructure that analyzes up to Layer 7. A transparent challenge mechanism distinguishes legitimate users from malicious traffic, without disconnections.
Scrubbing Centers
In case of exceptionally large attacks (less than 1% of cases), traffic is redirected to specialized scrubbing centers with over 10 Tbps capacity, able to absorb the most massive volumetric attacks.
Dual Detection Algorithm
Attack detection relies on two complementary algorithms that analyze all network traffic in real-time.
Signature Analysis
Incoming traffic is compared against a continuously updated database of known attack signatures. This method provides the highest precision for instantly detecting common attacks: UDP amplifications, SYN floods, protocol floods, and more.
Heuristic Analysis
Additionally, a heuristic algorithm compares real traffic curves against expected traffic. When deviations occur, targeted countermeasures are deployed. This approach detects unknown attacks or random patterns, ensuring proactive protection.
