Every HelloServ FiveM server includes 24 Tbps+ anti-DDoS protection, hosted in France. For exposed servers, the Anti-DDoS Plus option adds a dedicated FiveM relay that only lets real players through.
Recognising a DDoS attack on a FiveM server
An attack doesn't look like a script bug. These signs, especially together, should raise a flag.
Everyone drops at the same time
Twenty players get "Connection timed out" at the same second, then nobody can reconnect.
Ping spikes, CPU stays calm
Vehicles teleport and ping jumps from 30 to 400 ms, while the console and resmon show no resource under load.
The server disappears from the list
The server no longer appears in the FiveM list, or shows "not responding", with no change on your side.
Attack or script: the right reflex
"server thread hitch warning" messages and a resource taking several milliseconds in resmon point to a script. Network drops with a normal CPU point to an attack.

UDP floods, SYN floods and amplification attacks are filtered upstream of the server, on a capacity of over 24 Tbps.

Frequently asked questions about FiveM DDoS protection
Is anti-DDoS included with FiveM servers?
Yes. Every HelloServ FiveM server runs through L3/L4 protection of over 24 Tbps, at no extra cost and with no setup. The Anti-DDoS Plus option is an add-on for exposed servers.
What's the difference between L4 protection and the L7 relay?
L4 protection absorbs volumetric attacks (UDP floods, SYN floods, amplification). The L7 relay in the Anti-DDoS Plus FiveM option sits in front of your server and only lets through connections from real FiveM clients, which blocks attacks that mimic players.
How do I know if my server is under attack?
All players disconnecting at once, ping spiking, and the server missing from the list, with a normal CPU: these are the typical signs. With the Anti-DDoS Plus option, you get an alert at the start and end of every attack, and the attack log stays available in the panel.
My server crashes in txAdmin, is that a DDoS?
Rarely. A crash with "hitch warnings" and a heavy resource in resmon usually comes from a script. An attack cuts the network without raising CPU. If in doubt, open a ticket: support checks whether there was an attack on your IP.
Does the option change anything for my players?
No. The relay is set up automatically and we adapt the server's network configuration for you. Your players keep finding you in the FiveM server list.
What about a RedM server?
RedM servers have the same included L4 protection and can take the Anti-DDoS Plus option (alerts, attack log, priority support). The L7 relay is for now limited to FiveM.
