What is it built for?

A range designed for workloads that need high CPU frequencies and plenty of memory bandwidth.

High-frequency applications

Real-time APIs, matching engines, trading engines, low-latency Voice/Game servers. AMD Ryzen 9 frequencies make the difference on single-threaded workloads.

Rendering, build & compilation

Heavy CI/CD, Blender / Unreal rendering, massive monorepo compilation, x264/x265 video encoding. Very high-frequency multi-threading thanks to Zen 4.

Streaming & transcoding

OBS relay, restream, self-hosted RTMP clients, real-time transcoding pipelines. The Ryzen 9 + DDR5 combo sustains the load without faltering.

Why choose AMD for CPU-intensive workloads?

The latest-generation AMD Ryzen 9 processors (Zen 4 architecture, 5 nm process) currently offer the best turbo frequencies on the market (up to 5.7 GHz) combined with many physical cores. The result: on critical single-threaded workloads (application engines, low-concurrency databases, Voice servers), AMD delivers more real performance per core than an equivalently priced Xeon.

On the multi-threaded side, a Ryzen 9 7950X/9950X easily reaches 32 threads clocked at over 4 GHz: perfect for compilation, rendering and massive transcoding.

Zen architecture, record frequencies and DDR5 memory

The AMD AM5 / SP5 platform lets us offer DDR5 ECC at 4800 MT/s (and beyond) even on entry-level AMD configurations. Memory bandwidth is up to 50% higher than on a classic DDR4 platform, directly benefiting in-memory workloads (Redis, ClickHouse, search engines).

Storage in Gen4 NVMe PCIe 4.0 reaches 7 GB/s sequential read and over 1 million random IOPS — where classic SATA SSD caps at 80,000 IOPS.

Optimized for gaming, streaming and compute

For hosting game servers (Minecraft, FiveM, Rust, ARK, CS2), CPU frequency is the dominant factor. A Ryzen 9 at 5.7 GHz can host stable servers with 100+ players without TPS drops. For streaming / transcoding workloads, the core count + high frequency allows encoding several streams in parallel in real time.

Every server includes 10 Tbps+ Anti-DDoS protection, essential against frequent attacks on Voice and Game servers. Unmetered 1 Gbps guaranteed traffic, upgrade to 10 Gbps dedicated available. Up to 32 additional IPv4 addresses, BGP sessions and prefix announcements available on request.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions — AMD Range

AMD Ryzen 9: which model to choose?

The Ryzen 9 (7950X, 9950X) excel on critical single-threaded workloads: gaming, trading, real-time, Voice servers. They also handle multi-threaded tasks well, reaching 32 threads at over 4 GHz — ideal for compilation, rendering and virtualization. Tell us about your workload and we'll point you to the right configuration.

What FPS and tickrate can I expect on a game server?

On a Minecraft 1.20 with 100 players and moderate plugins, a Ryzen 9 easily holds stable 20 TPS. On FiveM (GTA V), expect 120+ players on a well-tuned cluster. On CS2, AMD frequencies allow maintaining a 128 tickrate without drops. We provide detailed per-game benchmarks on request.

Can I run heavy virtualization on AMD?

Yes. Our AMD Ryzen 9 servers support IOMMU (AMD-Vi), nested virtualization and PCI passthrough (to pass NICs or GPUs to a VM). Proxmox VE, KVM, VMware ESXi and Hyper-V work perfectly. They are well suited for moderate to intensive virtualization (a dozen or more lightweight VMs).

Do AMD servers support Windows Server?

Yes, Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025 are fully compatible with our AMD Ryzen servers. Licenses can be provided by you (BYOL) or added as an option at SPLA rate at order time. You can also install Proxmox VE, VMware ESXi, Debian, Ubuntu Server, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux or Talos Linux (for Kubernetes).
